Laytorest specializes in the online publication of funeral notices to inform family members, friends, and the community of the passing of loved ones.
Laytorest shares the passing of your loved and related information through its platforms. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") outline the agreement between you ("Client" or "you") and Laytorest ("Laytorest," "we," "us," or "our") regarding the publication of death notices on our website and social media platforms. By submitting a notice for publication by yourself or through a third party, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Laytorest provides a service for publishing death notices on our website and social media platforms, informing family, friends, and the community about details such as the date of death, and when and where the loved one will be buried. Laytorest has different packages on offer which are as follows: Basic, Standard and Premium package on offer. With each package with added service on offer. Each published notice will remain on the Laytorest website for a period of 1 week from the date of initial publication.
All payments made for the publication of death notices on Laytorest are non-refundable. This policy is in effect regardless of the duration the notice remains on the website (e.g., if you request early removal) or any other circumstances once the publication process has commenced.
Once a death notice has been submitted and payment processed, it cannot be cancelled for a refund. If you wish to have a notice removed from the website before the 1 week publication period ends, please contact us immediately. However, no refund will be issued for such early removal.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information provided for the death notice. Laytorest will publish the information as submitted. We are not responsible for any errors or omissions in the content provided by you.
Laytorest reserves the right to refuse publication of any notice that it deems inappropriate, offensive, or in violation of any applicable laws or our content guidelines. In such an event, any payment made will not be refunded.
Laytorest reserves the right to modify these Payment Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
Laytorest is committed to protecting your personal information and complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 ("POPIA"). By submitting a death notice or providing any personal information to Laytorest, you consent to the collection, processing, storage, and publication of such personal information for the purpose of publishing the funeral notice and related services.
Purpose of Processing: Personal information provided (including but not limited to names, photographs, dates, contact details, and funeral arrangements) will be processed solely for the purpose of publishing and promoting the funeral notice on Laytorest’s website and social media platforms.
Lawful Basis: By submitting information, you confirm that you have the necessary authority and consent from relevant family members or representatives of the deceased to share and publish the information provided.
Storage & Security: Laytorest takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Retention: Published notices will remain on the website for a period of one (1) week from the date of publication unless otherwise agreed. Personal information may be retained for record-keeping, legal, or administrative purposes as required by law.
Third-Party Disclosure: Laytorest will not sell or distribute personal information to third parties, except where required by law or necessary for the operation of our services (such as payment processing providers).
Your Rights: In terms of POPIA, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable legal limitations.
